Every woman needs a makeup case, which is why we’ve had an enjoyable afternoon browsing around the dozens and dozens of cute cosmetic bags on sale. Believe us when we say that we found just as many reasons to buy these small but perfectly formed mini-totes as we would the more conventional sized ones.

Despite the fact that our men folk simply don’t get ‘it’ … a bag (to us) is a bag. A cosmetics bag deserves just as much thought and consideration as our day tote, our work bag, our shopper’s and laptop bags. It’s a girl thing!

We found some great looking makeup bags, many were inexpensive, unless they had a designer name attached and all were in a variety of colors, shapes and sizes. We discovered a leaning towards the clear plastic type but that’s for another article, another day.

In this instance we were looking for the ones that are chic and functional, they type that you withdraw from your normal tote and your friends or colleagues instantly want one or at least want to know where you got yours from. And that too is a girl thing!

This is a striking hanging cosmetics bag, good looking and great for home use or for when you're on the road. Even loaded it rolls up neatly enough and the hanger also allows you to hang it up and have a clear view of what you've got stored and where. It's large enough to contain both makeup and toiletries and well made enough to stand up to lots of use.

We love the bold paisley print and the pink trim and the interior wallets/pockets are user friendly and easy to keep clean. Eack pocket has a zippered closure and we thinks it's a great makeup bag for less than 20 dollars. Bright, functional and plenty of miles in this one.

This is the designer cosmetic bag, manufactured by the famous LeSportsac brand name. It's spacious and comes in a gorgeous floral paisely print. There's plenty of space to store a wide array of cosmetics, toiletries and bits and pieces, all of which can be placed within a variety of opaque zippered or velcro pockets.

The fabric is a highly durable ripstop nylon and the brown trim and adjustable handles are great finishing touches.
