(Don’t) Stop Slouching!
- Dooney & Bourke Chiara in Red
I tend to dislike rigid patent leather shoes and accessories as they get those wrinkles and creases that ruin the beautiful surface-of-a-pond like finish. This bag? I wouldn’t worry about creasing, and I’d likely toss in tons of stuff. Stuff like what? Well, let me see what’s in the ratty Longchamp Pliage bag I’m dying to upgrade from… a copy of “The Audacity of Hope” by Barack Obama (yes, I’m still undecided about the election), a bottle of water, an apple (which will be in my stomach momentarily- I’m hungry yet again), 3 types of lip gloss/lipstick, wet wipes (yes, OK! I’m a quasi- germaphobe!), my dying iPod and my Shure headphones (the best headphones ever), a French-English dictionary, a pen, minty gum, camera (in case I see one of my favorite pro cyclists out on the French roads), receipts from the ATM (why do I keep these!?), a tiny mirror I bought in Japan, hand lotion and napkins. Those last two items don’t sound so good when I put them together on a list, now that I’ve read that bit back to myself. A bit obscene actually. But I’m not a guy, and they aren’t going to be used in conjunction with each other.
But ANYWAY. Back to the bag. I like it. A lot.

Is this a new site? I like your articles.
Hi Amanda. Yes it is a new site. I think my husband was tired of me rattling on about bags (not just luxury ones)and clothes since we moved to France and he encouraged me to write things down. This is a great people-watching place and it gives me lots to think (and write) about. Thanks for your comment.
