Seems we’re on the plus size theme of late on Pursenickety (maybe it’s because we know Spring is here and we wish we’d lost a few extra pounds already?!) and as we keep getting our hands on some oversized purses and tote bags, it felt entirely natural to side-step into the world of Big Buddha bags.
Now the name is a little deceiving, as not every tote they sell is the size of an overweight, short and balding deity. However what they are is this: bold, sometimes quirky and most definitely stylish on every occasion.
Whilst we hung out with a Buddha Bag or two, we wrangled over our top picks and narrowed it down to our favorite three. We love the floral theme, large exotic flowers, sizeable gold studs and matching hardware and a lining that matches the exterior.
It comes in a Black/White combo or a gorgeous Light Brown, either one looks equally stylish and the handles make this one a comfortable shoulder bag. This Big Buddha bag fits neatly into the satchel tote design, albeit ever so slightly quirky. The big floral front ruffle gives it the edge and the mock leather snakeskin manufacture lends it an air of quality without the matching price tag. Cowboys love cowgirls and cowgirls love ... Western purses. Sorry guys but that's the way it works. A woman's purse is reliable, a thing of beauty, hard working and never let's her down on a date night. They're a girls favorite thing, after chocolate of course, and no self-respecting woman will ever venture beyond the front door without hers firmly attached to her body.
We can leave our men at home, maybe our kids too (on occasion), but we'd never ever leave home without our cowgirl purses. Out of all the cute backpacks we checked out, this one was a firm favorite. It's a canvas manufacture, with a repetitious whimsical owl pattern printed throughout and besides the fact that it looks endearing (more so when you have your hands on it) it's definitely functional with it.
It's a medium sized backpack, not too big but big enough to carry around the usual female paraphanalia; a book or two, makeup, wallet, keys, credit cards etc, and you get a choice of a front exterior pocket or a spacious interior one. You also get a couple of smaller ones, one on the side and a cell phone pocket located on the strap. All the hardware and fastenings are good quality and the lining is white polka dots over a brown base. Very now, very cute and very available.

This is a great looking cute backpack, feminine and girly from top to toe, designed for the woman on the go and very high on both function and features. The straps adjusts in a hot second, there's a cool little removable pocket to the front and a surpisingly spacious interior. As cute backpacks go, we found this one to be rather kitsch, and that's why we loved it so much. You don't have to like dogs (or poodle's) and the color pink to find this one highly appealing and full of charm. There's a good size interior space in the main compartment, a zippered front pocket and two slip pockets situated on the side panels. If you tend towards living your life out of your tote bag (like me!) then a great way to stay on top of what’s in there is to use a purse organizer. They’re a cool little invention, designed for the woman with a junk-filled handbag and having used one for a while, I can vouch for how much they’ve improved my life.
No longer do I find myself scuffling around for my coin purse, my chapstick or hairbrush. Whenever I need something it’s neatly ordered, easy to spot and easy to grab. I use a medium sized one, according to the size and style of my favorite tote.

The man purse is a funny little thing. Or big thing, depending on your perspective and the individual man’s need to go large, or not. There’s no denying that men come with inbuilt man bags, something many refer to as jean’s pockets. However that doesn't remove the fact that many guys do in fact require the use of a purse of some description.
