Prada Outlet

There are only a few official Prada outlet stores dotted around America. It’s the same in Canada and across Europe. These stores are select, perhaps as a way of keeping both the integrity of the brand and the rights of the consumer protected. I say this because there are dozens or fake products out there, lots and lots of untrustworthy marketers that care little about your dismay (when you find out that you’ve just bought a fake designer handbag) and far more about getting your money into their hands.

Fake goods are prevalent in modern society, more so since the explosion of the internet. One of our most popular queries on this web site relates to the buying of fake purses. The amount of people that fall victim to this horrible practice is frightening. Is it our stupidity as consumers or the fact that the law doesn’t seem to be able to deal with the influx of dishonest traders?

This is why it’s no bad thing to visit a genuine Prada outlet if you get the opportunity, just like I did a while ago. You know that the displays are filled with the genuine merchandise, you have no fear of being a fool parted from her money and, when your husband finds out how much you’ve spent at least his ranting is justified!

Prada Outlet Florence

A few years ago I got to visit the Prada outlet in Florence. For those that get the opportunity to visit, make sure that you have at least a day to devote to the trip as it’s a little tough to find and it’s bigger than you’d think. From the outside it looks like, well … a warehouse. It’s in a place called Montevarchi, and the outlet itself is known as SPACE.

Once you get there and get inside you’ll realize why. It’s huge. Stuffed full of awesome Prada gear, shoes, bags clothing, you name it, there are displays everywhere. Of course my intention was to (maybe!) buy a new designer handbag but you know what happens when a woman and her friend finds themselves contained (happily I might add) within the walls of a huge designer outlet.

I have to say that we went just a little crazy but when you think how far we’d come to visit the Prada Space outlet well, what else were we to do? The minute we walked through the doors we knew we were in business. The interior décor was awesome, opulent from floor to ceiling, even the sales assistants were classy and elegant, and don’t get me started on the purses!

Needless to say we had a wonderful time browsing, spent far too much money and both of our husbands had a total fit when we met them back at our hotel that evening. Still, it was worth it if for nothing else the experience of visiting a genuine store.

Prada Prices

One thing that you’ll find within these stores is the fact that often, Prada prices are greatly reduced if you visit at the right time. When I was back in the Montevarchi one (one of several outlet stores in Italy), I was pretty surprised at some of the discounts on offer. My friend and I had lucked out, quite by accident, as we’d arrived during a clearance sale.

Ok this meant that new stock had or was about to arrive, and maybe we did end up with purses that were ‘last’ season, but for what we paid for them, we didn’t care. Had we known we were going, we may well have gone to the bother of tracking down some coupons but, as we didn’t, we had to pay the price on the tags. However, as I said we landed right when they were trying to shift clearance stock so we did get some pretty awesome deals.

If you’re looking to get your hands on some cheap Prada goods and you have the luxury of planning ahead, make sure that you’ve either got your hands on some coupons or plan your trip to coincide with an end of season sale or similar. There are some awesome deals to be found in plenty of Prada outlet stores and the wise woman sets off with the intention of bagging the best deals!
