I figured that the coming season means we’re entitled to behave a little frivolous and why not? Spring is in the air, the sun is shining and it’s time to start afresh. What better way to celebrate the rebirth of all things Spring and Summery than with a gorgeous (new) piece of designer arm candy?

We work hard, play harder and what’s life without a few little luxuries? One without them of course! So I spent a few days perusing, testing, handling and playing around with a couple of dozen different designer handbags. I had fun, I dreamed, I almost cried over one (women everywhere well totally get why) and did, in fact, end up buying a couple.

Temptation is a terrible thing and I guess sometimes the sight of a gorgeous leather tote is just too hard to resist. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. I viewed my purchase as a kindness to the world around me. Had I left my new purses on the shelf, my family would be in disarray and the whole house of cards would have fallen down.

It’s amazing what a new tote can do for the health and well-being of mankind!

Oi Oi Giraffe Tote

This one’s for the mom’s among us. Having babies doesn’t count us out of the luxury handbag market and as having a baby does require a little strategic maneuvering on the tote bag front, there’s no reason that we can’t combine designer handbags with designer diaper bags. Is there?

Everyone I know goes ‘awwwwww’ over this one and it’s not hard to see why. The giraffe print is striking, the design and details that Oi Oi put into their bags is to die for and the result is a stunningly good diaper bag.

It’s spacious, it’s well organized, you get a nylon lining (great for incidents and accidents that occur around babies!), you get loads of pockets for wipes, diapers, bottle, soothers and whatever else you can think of. The base has metal feet, the hardware has a vintage metal look and the whole ensemble just cries out to be bought. Can you hear that? Don’t ignore it … this bag needs a home!

Juicy Couture Black Exclusive Crest Daydreamer Bag

Let’s not beat around the bush when it comes to luxury handbags … Juicy Couture never do. If you want or need your tote bag to scream ‘look at me’ then JC bags are the one’s to buy. Every girl should have one. They’re the bag you turn to when you want to make a statement, even if that does include your silent endorsement at a great party or event you’ve been invited to.

From the resplendent gold lining, to the hard to miss logo emblazoned boldly across the front, this bag’s got attitude by the bucket load. The black velour fabric is sumptuous, the leather handles and trim are the perfect detailing and the hardware and logo tags finish it all off with a wonderfully resonant bang.

Great looking bag, a lot going on with it and it’s highly functional too!

Let's take a look at a new layered leather hobo from Christian Louboutin. For me, the jury's still out on this one. It features carefully stitched panels of calfskin to form a silhouette inspired by armor. Would it work better if the panels faced downward, or does it work best as is? It seems like the folds would be perfect crumb catchers, to be honest. It does have a nice silhouette, however. I'm just not sure if I totally love it, or just find it fairly interesting.

It is a cute hobo, though. It has a shoulder strap with a 13 1/2 inch drop. The top zips closed and has a signature pull. The inside has one open and one zip pocket. In addition to the signature pull, this little number has a signature logo leather patch and signature jacquard lining. Just in case you didn't know it was Christian Louboutin already.

The purse is 17 inches wide, 12 inches high and 5 1/2 inches deep. Of course, it's made in Italy like so many of these handbags are. You can find it at Saks Fifth Avenue for a mere $1,995.
