Some were downright quirky, one or two surprised us in that they were in the higher price tag bracket and some didn’t, simply because we know they’re classics and remain ever popular year on year.

The size that showed up consistently was the large purse, anything hobo, slouchy and boho chic. Another mover and shaker is the work tote, which would suggest that more and more of us are hauling a portion of our office space to work and bag everyday!

Messenger bags and backpacks were up there with the best of them, though these seemed to have no real rhythm. By this we mean choice of color and size. We spotted mini backpacks, cavernous backpacks, bland and boring looking messenger bags and so on.

Rubber Chicken Hen Tote Pocketbook Purse

Now as quirky as this popular purse looks, it is one of the best selling pocketbook totes anywhere and whilst you might not get the appeal, plenty of other women do. It is roomy and really adorable.

What I like about this bag is that this hobo is classic. You can keep this for years! But despite that, the round hardware makes it look contemporary on its own appeal. It wouldn’t be called as an “old bag”. It’s one of the tote bags that a woman must own. Something classic to add in a collection of handbags.

Let's take a look at a new layered leather hobo from Christian Louboutin. For me, the jury's still out on this one. It features carefully stitched panels of calfskin to form a silhouette inspired by armor. Would it work better if the panels faced downward, or does it work best as is? It seems like the folds would be perfect crumb catchers, to be honest. It does have a nice silhouette, however. I'm just not sure if I totally love it, or just find it fairly interesting.

It is a cute hobo, though. It has a shoulder strap with a 13 1/2 inch drop. The top zips closed and has a signature pull. The inside has one open and one zip pocket. In addition to the signature pull, this little number has a signature logo leather patch and signature jacquard lining. Just in case you didn't know it was Christian Louboutin already.

The purse is 17 inches wide, 12 inches high and 5 1/2 inches deep. Of course, it's made in Italy like so many of these handbags are. You can find it at Saks Fifth Avenue for a mere $1,995.
