Having checked out what’s on offer in the world of pink handbags, we settled on our favorite three. That said, the choice was a hard one as pink totes are many and come in so many different sizes and styles it’s enough to make a girls head spin.

We adored this paricular pink purse. Supposedly a satchel but we say it's one with a twist. It's hardly the stereotype is it? It looks far more like a hobo tote and yet it possesses everything that a good quality satchel should; space, function and style. We all agreed that the pink/brown combo works beautifully, as both colors compliment each other and add that all important interest that it may have lacked had it been all-over pink.

Inside you will find a light gray lining, two main compartments, a couple of slip pockets and one zippered pocket. On the rear there's a single zipped pocket and to the front one more that uses a flip-over closure. The 'mouth' is reinforced and gives it the gator style of opening and it's finished with a zippered closure and gold colored hardware. It's large, it's work/day tote friendly and it's well priced for what it is.

This Gypsy tote is the height of feminine goodness. From the shade of pink used on the faux leather, to the blinged up gypsy girl design on the front, this one's for the boho chick that loves to show her feminine side. It's also cavernous and full of pockets and compartments for those wanting something that does more than hang around looking pretty.

The inner lining comes in beige and the handles, trim and tassles are in a black/pink/brown faux snakeskin combo. There's a further pocket placed on the outside and the handle is plenty long enough to use this as it was intended - an oversized shoulder bag. Some were downright quirky, one or two surprised us in that they were in the higher price tag bracket and some didn’t, simply because we know they’re classics and remain ever popular year on year.

The size that showed up consistently was the large purse, anything hobo, slouchy and boho chic. Another mover and shaker is the work tote, which would suggest that more and more of us are hauling a portion of our office space to work and bag everyday!

Messenger bags and backpacks were up there with the best of them, though these seemed to have no real rhythm. By this we mean choice of color and size. We spotted mini backpacks, cavernous backpacks, bland and boring looking messenger bags and so on.

Whatever your choice of tote bag (and ours) we’re sharing the most popular of all of those that we trawled through. One thing’s for sure – we girls know our handbags. None on the list were on there for nothing … great looking, awesome value for money and for the main the kind of bag we all want one way or another.

Now as quirky as this popular purse looks, it is one of the best selling pocketbook totes anywhere and whilst you might not get the appeal, plenty of other women do. Beyond the styling, you get a wide variety of niches for just about everything you can possibly want to haul around; exterior pocket, interior zip and slip pockets, and two roomy mangnetic closure compartments on the front and rear. We also love the ruche panels, the cute keepsake and the good looking hardware. Definitely a bag for todays modern woman and we're loving the price tag too!

I enjoyed a wonderful revelation a few weeks ago and having found myself accidentally exposed to this unforeseen eye-opener, I went on to deepen my understanding of this strange new phenomena and hell girls … it works!

This is how it goes; straw totes are synonymous with vacations. Vacations are mutually exclusive with hot and sunny destinations and we all know what happens when you hit the Caribbean don’t we? The sunlight drives you to wearing huge sunglasses and floppy, wide-brimmed sun hats.

Suffice to say that I saw the light when I picked up my holiday photos, scanned through and realized how great I looked. Obviously this related to the fact that I had to spend the whole time hiding behind oversized sunglasses and wearing large sun hats but the facts speak for themselves … not a wrinkle, a crow line or laughter line to be seen. Awesome!

From that point on I’ve invested in a variety of straw beach totes, matching hats and sunglasses and I have to declare – those that know me are (now) forever telling me how great I look, how much younger and more youthful I appear. Of course 70% of my face is hidden, but that’s a small matter. So are my wrinkles.

The classiest straw handbag that fights the signs of aging is the Magid Classic Matte Shopper. It has a elegant, stylish appeal, one that appropriately matches the definition of aging gracefully, and it definitely comes in the right color – a dreamy chocolate brown.

My next recommendation is the Cappelli 478 Multi-Stripe Toyo Tote. This one is similar in size to the previous straw tote and where it differs is the external design. The exterior is a gorgeous multi-colored candy stripe, whilst the interior of the tote, comparable in terms of size, is in a yummy tan color that contrasts with the stripes, yet perfectly compliments the tone of the tote.

The handles are in tan colored faux leather, as are the four corner pads that are stitched onto the underside of the bag. It fastens with a zipper and the interior also contains several pockets, both zipped and open. It looks fun and fresh, it’s lightweight and coordinated with some great oversized shades and a sunhat to die for, you’ll be fooling the masses into thinking you’ve dropped ten years in a heartbeat.

Of course you won’t have but that doesn’t matter. What does is the fact that you will appear to have done so. And all without a pot of Regenerist in sight.
